Primary Movement Teaching System

click to enlargeTransforming your skiing from ''Good to Great" requires an understanding of the fundamental movement patterns necessary to achieve the skill level desired. Let's face it; fundamental movement patterns and skills are the foundation for all sports! Fundamentals can mean the difference between being a "Good Player" and a "Great Player!"

The Ski Wizard and On the Edge Skier Services offer Primary Movements Teaching System (PMTS)*. PMTS is a "non-traditional," all encompassing, form of ski instruction that focuses on the components necessary to click to enlarge transform your skiing to the next level. Contrary to traditional ski instruction, PMTS only teaches movements patterns and skills that do not have to be "unlearned", only "refined" as your skiing progresses. A common example is we teach the skier to ski parallel from day one. This is contrary to the traditional system, which teaches the skier "the wedge" day one and then expects the skier to "unlearn" "the wedge" as they progress toward parallel turns. We tailor each lesson to be consistent with our students click to enlarge desired goals and isolate the "single most important movement" that will assist the skier in reaching their skiing potential. We strive to create such clear understanding of the fundamental movements that each student will feel empowered to self-coach.
